Falling Petals

Crab trees, dogwood, red bud all
Join with apple, cherry, pear
In a blaze of color

In time the colorfest must fade
The blooms will pass away
As petals fall

So like the Spring of youth
In full brilliant hue
The blooms burst forth

But as Summer comes
What takes their place
As petals fall?
