In a Jungle of Doubt

In a Jungle of Doubt

When looking through a jungle of doubt

Or feeling the swamp of despair

Drenched in  the cascading falls of temptation

Drowning in the stormy waves in the sea of selfpity

Then climb the steep mountain of prayer

So worthy is the effort when confronting life's turmoil

Look to a new day's dawning , feel the warmth of the Son's Light

Know the peace of walking by still waters

Knowing that the Shepherd is near

Ready to draw us back into the fold when we've gone astray

In a Jungle of Doubt (c)2016  Quentin Clingerman
