Onl a Wreath at a Tombstone?

Veterans Day
They pass in review
These men and women
Who've gone before
Wearing the uniform
Of a free people

Intending to keep us free
We give pause to remember
There are those who have
Passed to their eternal reward
Their review before the
Judge of all humankind

There are those in the millions
Still among us, some in loneliness
In VA hospitals or nursing facilities
We give pause to remember
Their great sacrifice
Whisper a prayer

Assist a Veterans organization
Or visit those we know
Greet all veterans warmly
Letting them know we're grateful
This Veterans Day and everyday
Praying for peace and safety

For those still in uniform
You, yet to be veterans,
We care
