From Thanksgiving to Christmas

From Thanksgiving to Christmas

Fall and Winter battle for the upper hand

One day sixty the next day 40

The nights cold and bland

Worker and shopper increase their pace

Christmas and routine dance in their minds

Schedules and gift lists confront each face

Where is the Christ in all of this

Taking time each day for Him is a must

Taking time for Him can be sheer bliss

Makes the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas all worthwhile

Trinkets, cards, glitter, presents, seasonal foods become secondary

Celebrating Jesus brings about, in the hustle and bustle, the ready smile

It is the devout Christian's stedfast living style

From Thanksgiving to Christmas(c)2012 Quentin Clingerman
