I Would Rather Call You Friend

Demonize me if you will

In return I'll love you still

Strike me with some hurtful phrase

I in turn will offer praise

Throw at me word weapons in the fray

In turn for you I'll simply pray

Be my enemy until the end

I would rather call you friend

I would rather call you friend

I Would Rather Call You Friend(c)2001 Quentin Clingerman
