Ezekial spoke as "son of man" representing God
His visions were mystical and unreal
Those fearsome images surrounding the wheel

More frightening than eyes in wheels
Are the pictures, barbaric reels
Of violence and death

Yet among those gruesome passages of gore
Are God's promises of justice and righteousness forevermore
For the people who would turn to him in faith

In obedience God calls us not to delay
From the decadent barbarism of today
Fleeing from those ubiquitous wheels

Eyes so brightly glaring
from the rigid rims
Catching all the multitude of everybody's sins
Hidden in Christ we in joy and peace can stay

Hidden from the wheels within wheels
Eyes brightly glaring
