From Heights of Glory

Accepting the Father's will
He descended from Heaven's glory
Walked the dusty paths of men
Divinity tasting the very lowly

Taking on mankind's travail
He was led from animal cradle to Golgotha
In communion with the Father
He walked in obedience as the Son

From heights of glory
To life that ended in tragic story
Except He rose victor over sin and death
Making access for all to the Father

From heights of glory
To heights of glory
Restored to His rightful place
Christ, God-Man, Lord of Lords

Returning as King of Kings
To take His followers to reign
Sharing in His glory
Sharing in His glory

From Heights of Glory(c)2004 Quentin Clingerman
