The End of September
The last day of September 2015 Storm during night caused flooding Woke to all things wet Two branches of young tree broken Looking to more rain and cooler The hot days of summer should be gone Looking to lovely Fall days and color God's brush strokes giving us beauty On the leaves of ash, oak, elm, maple, birch As green fades into color The earth wears a coat of many colors

About the Poet
I am a retired educator. Now 85 years of age. I live in Maryland. I am the father of three ladies and thirteen grandchildren. Four grandchildren now married. I have two great grandsons, Koi Jon and Quinn Manu and a great granddaughter,Sephira Jade.
Poems are an expression of how I think and feel. Variety in either case!
