My Mother

I can see my mother laughing at our antics at the lunch table

I can hear her scolding us for some misdeed

But maily I can hear her earnest prayers for us by her bedside

I can see her baking the best bread in the world

I can watch her working in the garden or lawn

I can see her getting us all ready for church

But most of all I can see her reading her Bible, her Guide for living

What a wonderful legacy she has left for her seven children
