The Last Blush of Summer
Where has September gone, so quickly moving on The first day of Fall upon us, long days are gone The first blush of Fall in the air, the last blush of summer lingers One can almost feel it as gently stroking fingers The change comes with such suddenness, so quietly Bowing before its Creator with softly glowing piety Soon colors will emerge in flamboyant splendor Fully in silent worship before their awesome Creator

About the Poet
I am a retired educator. Now 85 years of age. I live in Maryland. I am the father of three ladies and thirteen grandchildren. Four grandchildren now married. I have two great grandsons, Koi Jon and Quinn Manu and a great granddaughter,Sephira Jade.
Poems are an expression of how I think and feel. Variety in either case!
