Equality of opportunity
Espoused by the United States Constitution
But are we all equal?

Under the Law? Maybe?
In the pursuit of Happiness? Choice?
In talent and ability? Hardly!

In health and wealth? That's a laugh!
In friends and family? Choice?
In where we want to live? Choice?

One place we are all indeed equal
One place where the ground is level
One place where no one is above his fellows

At the Cross of Jesus Christ
At His Cross
Gospel of John: 3:16

The Egalitarian (c)2002 Quentin Clingerman
