The Village Green Grill

Standing and waiting
Arriving without delay
Another, "I'm on my way."
Standing and waiting

Liver and onions
Worth waiting for
Two of us served
The Sunday special

Conversation slim
Three minds wandering
Little to talk about
Just eat and go

Three divergent paths
Though two go in the same direction
Only God knows their final destination
He's provided the Way

So ordinary, the Village Green Grill
So ordinary, the three diners
Three divergent lives
One is taking His way

May the other two do likewise
While it is still day
The Grill stops serving at 2 P.M.
God serves twenty four/seven
