Busy Lives

When in these days of busyness
We are apt to forget our Lord to confess
We are too busy

When the plethora of duties call
And His voice we do not hear
We are too deaf

Stop the busy life you live
Take time for Him
Renew your life's balance

There then is strength for each needed task
And wisdom to know which is needed
In honoring Him we find calm

Our busy lives
Seem not so busy
Accomplishing more

We thus confess you Lord
Master of our days and of our hours
Master of our days and of our hours

Busy Lives (c) 2001 Quentin Clingerman
