Hilda Brooke, Seasoned by Suffering

My good friend, Hilda Brooke,

Loved the Lord and attending church

Her faith was steadfast in her waining years

Years of suffering, pain, and tears

But she kept the faith, strong 'til the end

Her mind alert, she was ready with a smile

Even when she felt this life not worthwhile

In her late nineties, she was ready to go

Praying for others her God to know

Faithful to God, her family, friends, and church

A prayer warrior who will be very much missed

Hilda Brooke, Seasoned by Suffering(c)2010 Quentin Clingerman
