Faith

It can't be proven like a totaled sum,
Yet, life is less when it's subtracted from,
Nor will a reasoned step-by-step it keep,
But yet, with greater reason it will leap,
Without a notion for a just reward,
But only out of love will it move toward
The unpredicted end which then awaits
Discovery to silence all the fates,
Unchanged within the change in time without,
It changes him who casts away all doubt
And sees and hears more clear the unseen sound
Of Words made flesh upon this battleground.

About the Poet
Husband, father, grandfather, and each title is my joy. As a youth, poetry was a means to express the inexpressable. I was attracted to (and still am) the beauty and brevity of verse. All flows out from God, and like a proper prayer, can flow back.
