Christmas Morn

      Christmas Morn

Up the sun again arises
On a chilled December morn,
To send not one, but two bright prizes-
Light eternally is born!

A greater Light than light around us,
Light to shine upon the Way,
Eternal Light from Him surrounds us-
Christmas is our newborn day!

Born in flesh the Word eternal,
Words our spirits longed to hear
To make this life forever vernal-
Hearts in spring throughout the year!

Christmas Light burns bright within
On every morn from day to day
To hearts that open up to Him-
It’s in our hearts He’ll always stay!

About the Poet
Husband, father, grandfather, and each title is my joy. As a youth, poetry was a means to express the inexpressable. I was attracted to (and still am) the beauty and brevity of verse. All flows out from God, and like a proper prayer, can flow back.
