Eternity in Temporary Frame

Eternity in Temporary Frame

Eternity in temporary frame,

What shall I call Thy endless light and breath?

Refreshing coolness, yet a burning flame,

Unfathomed breath, yet breathless fathomed depth.

What words can capture, yet still leave untame

Thy hallowed spirit from a timeless time

Before the world of man and flesh became?

My words will fail both reason and the rhyme.

Thy Word made flesh and spoken to reclaim

Thy spirit light and breath of Thy sweet love

Within my sore heart hidden by my shame,

Speaks spirit words each day from up above.

From Your sweet spirit to my heart You came,

    Eternity in temporary frame.

About the Poet
Husband, father, grandfather, and each title is my joy. As a youth, poetry was a means to express the inexpressable. I was attracted to (and still am) the beauty and brevity of verse. All flows out from God, and like a proper prayer, can flow back.
