How Is My Spirit Dressed?
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

How Is My Spirit Dressed?

From day’s beginning to its end,

How is my spirit dressed?

In man-made artificial blends

Or Heaven’s woven best?

The spirit wears what I select

And joins me on my way,

My choice of outfit will reflect

The life I weave each day.

Among the other spirits dressed

How shall my spirit look?

Aloof, impressive, humble, blessed,

Unknown, perhaps mistook?

One garment seems a heaven’s fit

Although I wear a fear,

The spirit hints to reach for it,

The infit’s cloth is sheer.

About the Poet
Husband, father, grandfather, and each title is my joy. As a youth, poetry was a means to express the inexpressable. I was attracted to (and still am) the beauty and brevity of verse. All flows out from God, and like a proper prayer, can flow back.
