Forever at Day's End

Forever at Day's End

The lovliness of scarlet red

When spread across the evening sky,

Bleeds like the blood my Savior bled

To love always although days die.

The watchfulness of moon's white light

When spread across the earth below,

Caresses me with love's delight

To mingle with His spirit so.

The hopefulness of heaven's stars

When spread across the dark and deep,

Shines like His love in endless hours

Throughout the night my spirit keeps.

About the Poet
Husband, father, grandfather, and each title is my joy. As a youth, poetry was a means to express the inexpressable. I was attracted to (and still am) the beauty and brevity of verse. All flows out from God, and like a proper prayer, can flow back.
