The Rose of Sharon

The Rose of Sharon

This early morn, as sun begins to show,

the rose of sharon bush begins to glow

in gentle petals- pink, open to praise

that speak of our Creator and His ways.

A secret patient root now here reveals

in blooms that perfect timing won't conceal

how blessed manna given makes one thrive-

such vibrant joy in Him, to be alive!

Complexion perfect, fragrant and so sweet

as many flowers human eyes may meet,

the rose of sharon calls my eyes to view

perfection by the Potter's hands, anew.

Fresh scent delightful clearly nudges me

while standing in the shade of winded tree;

the Rose of Sharon clearly does convey

the presence of the Lord this brilliant day.

                        Song of Songs 2:1..."I am the Rose of Sharon, the lily of the valleys."
