Kingdom of the Spring

Kingdom of the Spring

(an interlocking rubiyat)

Within the kingdom of the Spring,
there thrives a new awakening
in font of blooms from lee to lee,
as Genesis again takes wing.

From Heaven's throne, One oversees
their faithful praise...glory...glory...
such heralding from earth's domain-
a fount that's held eternally.

In chords aburst, not one does wane,
for each has God-roots...blooms ordain-
created as both you and I...
heart-held in our Creator's reign.

The ancient sun flames in the sky,
and Jesus' time is now...is nigh...
to this - the Spring does testify-
to this - the Spring does testify...

(The interlocking rubiyat is a poem of quatrain stanzas usually written in iambic tetrameter
 or iambic pentameter.  The rhyme scheme is   A A B A...B B C B...C C D C...and so on.
The last word of the third line of each stanza becomes the main rhyme of the following
stanza.  A famous example of an interlocking rubiyat is one by Robert  Frost called
'Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.'  Rubiyat is a persian word that means quatrain.)
