The Winter Garden
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

The Winter Garden

Excitement filled the air today-

a conversation overheard...

it was the Winter garden's way

of ministering hallowed Word,

amidst the balmy winds that blow

o're frozen earth and drifting snow.

With face-sprouts set to bitter gale,

the flowers roots all did attest

that growth abounding would prevail

soon after trusting, patient rest -

new hope held with the manna sun,

with each new day, Thy will be done.

I harkened to the sermon, clear...

a reinforcement, I knew true;

'twas no coincidence to hear

as that is what disciples do -

from nature or by mouth of man.

Praise God that makes one bloom again!

(Written in sestet verse as William Wordworth's 'I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud.')
