His Peace Is This

As though a silent dawn - His peace is this-
of Light assured, new born of every day-
of joy on the horizon, Heaven's bliss.

The Word of God, beheld since Genesis-
two natures both concordant, praise and pray
as though a quiet dawn...His peace is this.

For with Him, what in nature stands amiss?
Contentment thrives within Creation's way
of joy on the horizon, Heaven's bliss.

The butterfly shall leave the chrysalis!...
a fluttering of spirit to convey
as though a quiet dawn, His peace is this.

He calls to cradle us from the abyss
in voice of sweetest songbirds that foresay
of joy on the horizon, Heaven's bliss.

Serenity abounds in emphasis-
how great the Son my heart longs to obey!
As though a quiet dawn, His peace is this-
of joy on the horizon, Heaven's bliss...
