Jubilation

(a Swap Quatrain poem)

In steepled trees, the trilling choir
sings notes in melodies, afire;"
there's bird-song  joy within the breeze -
the trilling choir in steepled trees.

Near outstretched wings from branching pews,
the Master from the pulpit views,
as praises through the valley ring
from branching pews near outstretched wings.

The stained glass sky - a window's pane-
from Heaven here reflects His name;
arising music magnifies
a window's pane - the stained glass sky.

(The swap quatrain consists of 4 lines of 8 syllables each (usually tetrameter).  The first 4
 syllables of each stanza (or the first half of the first line of each stanza) is also the last 4
 syllables (or the last half of the last line of each stanza).  The second 4 syllables of the
 first line of each stanza (or the second half of each first line of each stanza) becomes is
 also the first 4 syllables of the 4th line (or the first half of line 4) in each stanza. The
 rhyme scheme is...  a a b b,  c c d d, etc...)
