A Summer Morning

A Summer Morning

A sleeping sun has risen up

enlightening this hallowed earth;

another day - the Victor's cup!-

as planned by Hand since ancient birth!

A sweeping wind stirs hailing trees

more Heavenward than day before,

and bird song echoes o're the lees-

onward and through the gated Door.

The flowers chorus can be heard

in gospel songs of hues so bright...

a celebration of the Word-

a reveling within the Light!

Yes, blessed I am in season's peace

and wonder of this new day born,

in breadth and gentleness of fleece-

and beauty of this summer morn...
