Precious View

Out o're the fields these Autumn morns,
a sprinkling of dew adorns
the fallowed corn in rising sun-
this blessed and hallowed day begun.

As Heaven's wind flows earthen bound,
the fields stir to a rustling sound;
there's peace I feel compared to none
here on this hallowed day begun.

So bright the sunlight soon will be,
yet brighter light, my soul to see;
in Christ, the victory has been won-
so blessed each hallowed day begun!

(a kyrielle poem)
