Divinely So

divinely So

A flash of lightening near the window pane

has caught my eye this morning on the porch;

a finch arriving breaks into a song

and notes re-echo through the doorway screen.

I'm called to listen, melody so sweet-

this little bird enthralls so wondrously;

'tis meant for me to hear, this joyful voice-

bright pitch of grace by our Creator's hand.

I'm drawn nearby, still waters beckon me;

I'm bathed in breeze and watch the winded trees.

Again, there  comes that symphony so clear-

the finch, so unaware how I rejoice,

as we who write, not knowing who's inspired

or drawn to Him by verse He sends our way...
