Serenade

Across stark fields of drifting snow
a twilight sky reflects a glow;
I look beyond to grand foothills
and listen to the cold winds blow.

An evening peacefulness fulfills
as soon I'm warmed amidst the chills-
a kindling fire deep in me-
a warmth of soul He so instills.

Lands hush of lavender decrees
the beauty of who holds the key;
I close my eyes in silent prayer
and oh!the blessings I can see

as of His presence, I'm aware-
as of His presence, I'm aware...
