A Crocus Bulb

A Crocus Bulb

A crocus bulb beneath the soil
waits patiently through Winter's toil
to bloom again in utmost grace
and greet the sun with stunning face.

Yes, mightier in plan and hue,
a stronger song comes forth, anew-
a fragrant faith from rooted core-
a reaching upward, more and more...

an opening of petals bright
to bask in given hallowed Light
and sing as only it can sing
in wondrous voice to hail the King!

(Thinking of Spring here in Illinois. :) )
