Joy inn Him (golden shovel form)
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

By Lucia Kiersch Haase
Other Poems by Lucia Kiersch Haase

(This is a new form taken from the Nov/Dec. issue of Writers Digest (p.17)  The golden
 shovel is a contemporary form.  To get started, take a line or lines of a poem you
 admire. (Here, I used the first line of the Christmas song, 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing.')
Then, use each word in the line, in the correct order, as the end words in each line
 of your poem. ) (I capitalized the line in the poem, read straight down.)

Joy In Him

by Lucia Haase

In morning's peace, my heart cries HARK!
I celebrate the joy in THEE;
great message of the ancient HERALD
sent trumpeting, all Heaven's ANGELS-
salvation's news, all earth to SING!

How blessed I am - Oh glory! GLORY!
The babe now man who leads me TO
the gate where I'll be near to THEE;
'Tis then when I'll become NEWBORN!
All praise and love to Christ the KING!!!
