Winter Sunrise

As night here coldly slips away,
"Let there be light", I hear Him say;
the living Word is in the trees-
the snowy land is on its knees.

Oh glory glory breathes the sun,
new Heaven's gold this day begun;
amazing rays of grace, I see
touch all bared branches brilliantly.

No warmth o're frozen land concealed-
"the light is good", God has revealed;
I see it in the sparkling snow-
I hear it from the roots aglow...

that praise from secret pulpits deep
in Genesis of Kingdom's keep-
arias like first day adorning-
the earth again, this Winter morning...

Genesis 1: The Beginning...1:3-5...And God said, "Let there be light", and there was light.  God
                                                       saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from
                                                       the darkness.  God called the light day and the darkness He
                                                       called night.  And there was evening, and there was morning,
                                                       the first day.
