An Eagle's Flight
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

By Lucia Kiersch Haase
Other Poems by Lucia Kiersch Haase

An Eag;e's Flight

Amidst the clouds of boundless skies,
high o're the road, an eagle flies;
so steady held, these wings I see-
towards the horizon,  soaring free.

No wavering in current's sway,
in strength assured, it finds the way-
uplifted over every tree,
towards the horizon, soaring free.

Such hope within - such Light that glows!
Like flight, the living water flows!
High in the spirit, so are we-
in Him, new life for you and me!!

Isaiah 40:31...'but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles- they will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not be faint.'

(a kyrielle poem)

(Now is the time here when the eagles gather at a local state park
called Starved Rock.  It's something I look forward to seeing every winter.) :)
