A Welcome Guest

Down past the woodland's way, a river flows
where columbine and dutchman's breeches glows-
where vibrant thistle lends a purple hue,
and ladies slippers gleam in beaded dew.

'Tis here the water meets a sandy shore-
an invitation from the forest's door
to gaze upon all fauna, blooms and trees
while rippling forward midst the lazy breeze.

Meandering just as the river, I
then cast my gaze up towards the boundless sky,
a white cloud puff or two to slowly pass-
beneath my feet...a pillowed meadow grass-

inviting me to 'sit a spell' and rest...
oh happy me to be a welcome guest!

Genesis 1:31...God saw all that he had made and it was very good.

Romans 5...We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
