Where Once a Babe within a Manager Lay

Where once a babe within a manger lay,
small hands extended, wanting for the touch
of Mother, one who loves her Son so much;
she knows this birth is special.  Wise men pray
to God, so thankful for the shining Star
that led them on this journey through the night.
As they arrive, the shepherds share the Light
with others too who've traveled from afar.
'Tis now the infant Jesus starts to teach,
those there and all mankind, so soon to know-
that we just as the babe does now, shall reach
in praise and love, amazing grace aglow-
to shine from hallowed hearts in all and each...
and find through Him, eternal glory...OH!!!

John 3:16...For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but shall have eternal life.

(a Petrarchan sonnet)
