Valentine Cupcakes

(a double triolet)

Valentine cupcakes made with love -
chocolate frosting - little things;
white cake batter, wings of dove -
Valentine cupcakes made with love.
'Give from the heart,' heard from above,
such teaching through the ages rings;
Valentine cupcakes made with love -
chocolate frosting - little things.

Small hands reaching - voice so sweet;
thankful eyes light up so bright.
Joyfilled words so hard to beat-
small hands reaching - voice so sweet.
Cupcake blessings, such a treat -
not so little in His light.
Small hands reaching - voice so sweet -
Valentine cupcakes, what a treat.

(The triolet is French in origin...an 8 line poem dating from the 13th century.  It can be written
 in any measure with lines of any length.  Line 1 is repeated as line 4 and 7.  Line 2 is
 repeated as line 8.)
