October Leaves

October Leaves

There's heeding of October's call;
held by the wind, leaves swirl and fall...
upon the roof and in the eaves
lie treasures found - October leaves.

Each year more vibrant, never faint-
no hand outshines the Hand that paints;
on country roads and hidden sheaves
lie treasures found - October leaves.

Awhirl in air or on the ground,
one's beckoned to the rustling sound-
just as in Him, whom I believe...
so Heavenly, October leaves.

(a kyrielle)
