Robe of Blossoms

Robe of Blossoms

The robe of blossoms on the tulip tree
flows freely in the wind. A hallowed grace
upon the branches skims over the sea
of greening grass. I touch the blooms and trace
the gentle miracles of God's creation,
sweet flowered fragrance, Heavenly in air-
reborn again in certain celebration;
of new re-birth of life, I am aware...
how blessings come with each and every season,
root growth beneath - such praise from year to year;
more beauty that reflects His will and reason
shows in our robe of blossoms, very clear!
His strength and might lend manna for the winning
in journey Heavenward to new beginning.

(a Shakespearean sonnet)
