Through a Child's Eyes

Through a Child's Eyes

Just when I hear her saying, 'I love you',

it is a gift to hear her little voice.

And then I always say, 'I love you too!'

This love she speaks of makes my heart rejoice.

Sometimes I don't feel worthy of her love,

and then I wonder, 'Is God teaching me,

to strive to learn right actions of this word...

through Rayghan's eyes, does He want me to see?'

Does He want me to learn just how to come

to Him in joyous song and loving prayer?

She is a sweet reflection of the One

who teaches me while making me aware -

that through a child's eyes, there's much to see;

Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me.'

Matthew 19:14

Matthew 18:2-5

(a Shakespearean sonnet)
