The Meadow
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

The Meadow

A butterfly - a shepherdess

is fluttering about the flock,

in multitudes, no more - no less-

of blooms foretold upon the clock-

a calling out of praise to glisten...

enough to make me stop and listen...

(This is a sestet stanza, the same form Wordsworths 'The Daffodils' is written in.  I was
driving on a country road the other day to the next town, and there was a meadow of
flowers, which inspired this.  It's also inspired by the story of David as a shepherd.)
