No Chains

No Chains

No Chains

What are the chains
that hold you down?
Why to these chains
do you feel bound?

Remember Paul
in prison chains-
with utmost joy
despite the pain?

In faith he hoped
and did expect
deliverance...
no tears he wept.

He spoke the gospel
every day,
and nothing could
get in his way...

because His joy
came from inside,
as Christ was there
to be his guide.

What are the chains
that hold you down?
Remember Paul
who wasn't bound!

What prison tries
to keep you there??
Remember Paul
and be aware...

that Christ is joy-
that Christ is gain!
There's no such thing
as prison chains!

2Timothy 2:8-10...'Remember Jesus Christ raised from the dead.  This is my gospel for which
I am suffering, even to the point of being chained, like a criminal, but God's
word is not chained,  Therefore, I endure everything for the sake of the
elect that they too will obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.'

Colossians 4:18...'I, Paul write this greeting in my own hand.  Remember my chains, grace be with you.'

Ephesians 6:20...'for which I am an ambassador in chains.  Pray that I may declare it fearlessly as I
                             should.'
