The Faithful Know

The Faithful Know

The sun was down, the sky loomed gray-

and dark it seemed this new born day.

The trees, the plants and flowers sighed-

"No sun for warmth...no sun!" they cried...

and then they saw within the sky

a looming cloud, though Heaven-high...

and more on the horizon now

as thunder bellowed o're each brow;

"Oh no!" they said, as wind they heard-

"A storm!" they cried, much less assured...

'twas then the rain came pouring down,

to their surprise, with joyful sound!...

and onward then, it poured some more

upon each house's thriving floor.

Then heard...the rain's voice, very clear-

"Of thunderstorms, you shouldn't fear!"

The rain said, "Look!  Now comes the sun!"...

as all then cheered this day begun.

"It 'tis been true since time began!"-

exclaimed the rain. "It's in God's plan."

With that, all nature stood aglow;

the faithful grow...the faithful know...

Isaiah 45:8..."Drip down O Heavens from above.  And let the clouds pour down righteousness.
                      Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit. And righteousness spring up with
                      it.  I, the Lord, have created it."

Matthew 5:45...He sends rain on the just and the unust alike...
