One Brilliant Star

One Brilliant Star

Snow gently flocks great woodland pines

where lambent moonlight rays entwine

beneath all Heaven's watch divine,

in silent peace.

Wind blows and whisks where tree limbs keep

a place where woodland creatures sleep;

a cozy haven they shall reap,

'neath stirring boughs.

Reflecting in the frozen lake,

Light flickers in a holy wake;

'bove praising snowfall, flake by flake---

one brilliant Star...
