Eventide
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Eventide

Last sunlight of the day shines 'midst a tree

in view before me on my peaceful porch;

the sky gleams golden far as I can see-

a call to dusk, the daylight's final torch.

Last chirping sounds of birds can now be heard

as soon, the tree frogs carry on the songs

and sing into the night, bold and assured

as time moves forward, verily along.

No breeze right now, just stillness of the air;

last various cloud patterns float on by,

and sky's turned peach and periwinkle where

the torch had shown, now kindled to a sigh...

as night time soon shall cover near and far

on watch of Him who called each brilliant star...
