Concordance

There's a sunrise through woods,

and the trickling sound

of a long frozen stream

midst the deep drifted ground.

There's the howl of the wind,

and the blowing of snow

'neath the creaking of limbs

etched in deep golden glow.

There's an early bird's flight-

branch to sky, tree to tree,

and an echoing song

like a shell holding sea

baring warmth in a peace

that's as solid as Rock

by a stream or a beach

within God's ancient clock.

(Inspired by a winter sunrise a few days ago.)
