Father,
Adam's Fall, Jesus' Rise,
War within -- a creedal duel.
Adam's voice,
Spoken from the beginning,
Creeps through the soul,
Snakes and twists as it
Stirs, challenges, and dares.
He speaks thin with deceit --
Yes, hate, shoot it out;
Yes, lust, be a sex pirate;
Yes, greed, be a wealth's war mercenary;
Yes, doubt, cover the skylight..
He offers illusions --
The soul's devil dust,
The prison of dark despair.
WILL I LISTEN?
Jesus' Voice, my Brother Warrior,
Speaks beside me,
As I walk the dueling field -- my soul.
He speaks with the steer of truth --
Yes, be loving, the art of joy;
Yes, be humble, the wheels of peace;
Yes, be meek, the tie of the Spirit, Holy;
Yes, follow me, I never betray.
His words are truth's applause --
Words without knots,
Blood words -- fountains from love's wounds.
WILL I LISTEN?
Yes, if I choose victory.
