Fullness

"And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us,
Full of grace and truth ...." John 1:14

Jesus,
The ever-fixed Beacon,
The lighthouse Guide
For our sea-journey,
Always solid through storms, and
Always shines light
On the Tempter's thievery.

Jesus,
The North Star
For earth-centered wanderers
Seeking a land free of errors,
Wrongs sightless as death.

Jesus,
The Master
Whose name is Triumph, and
Time's sickle never cuts off
His Love --
Eternall, enduring,and faithful.

Father,

As a mother's breast
Fountains life, so
Your grace the Jesus-life
In the soul.

About the Poet
I am 79 years of age. For the past nine years I have been retired, after forty years, from the field of alcoholism and drug abuse in New York City. I am married and we have two grown sons and two grand-sons. My life changed through a grace-experience in 1967. Writing Christian prayers is a particular interest of mine. This came about by a growing awareness of the spiritual in recovery from addictions. I choose, intellectually and emotionally, to believe the Triune God of the Sared Scriptures as my Healer.
