Jesus?
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Jesus?

"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last,
the beginning and the end." Rev. 22:13

Jesus?

His task is His Name --
Jesus, the "God who saves,"
Who ransoms the sin-trapped,
Who redeems the sin-owned,
Who rescues the sin-rotting;
Yes, He is our Saviour.

Jesus?

The Christ, the Messiah,
The Anointed One,
The Hly One of God.

Jesus?

The High Priest
Whose sin-offering
Is not the blood of bulls and goats,
But HIS Blood -- a Lamb without spot.

The King
Who rides not as a war-smith
Charging to victory on a blazing stallion,
But a Peace-Smith astride a donkey
As He rides to an ageless victory

Jesus?

Prophet
Sent by His Father
To teach the "Joy-News" of His Kingdom
To the poor and oppressed,
To the blind and lame,
To prisoners and sinners.

Jesus?

Lord
Whose will commands
Nature, it unlocks before Him;
Illness, His touch wholes it's shrivel;
Demons, simply bowed eunuchs before Him;
Death, He is Life over this haunting curse;
Sin, He mends it's raw wounds.
Yes, "Come Lord Jesus." (Rev. 22:20)

Father,

Jesus?
He is Your Beloved Son,
The Son of God,
The Word who was with You
Before nothing became something,
Before there was a north and south,
Before there was a past and future,
Before there was light and dark,
Before there was life and death,
He was there, for
He is the Lord of the cosmos and history.

And, the "sign of Jonah"
Is the Great Seal of His Truth, Power and Love,
For He is the God who rose from the dead..

Are we fortunate!!!

About the Poet
I am 79 years of age. For the past nine years I have been retired, after forty years, from the field of alcoholism and drug abuse in New York City. I am married and we have two grown sons and two grand-sons. My life changed through a grace-experience in 1967. Writing Christian prayers is a particular interest of mine. This came about by a growing awareness of the spiritual in recovery from addictions. I choose, intellectually and emotionally, to believe the Triune God of the Sared Scriptures as my Healer.
