Throw

"We may throw the dice, but the Lord  determines
the fall." Proverbs 16:33

Father,

You have the final say,
Always, no matter what,
All ends in Your Net.

Each thought.
Each word,
Each deed,
I cast out into the world,
Your Hand decides its' fall,
True, Your Purpose may be hidden,
Your Hand unseen,
But, It is still Your Hand.

Chance?
Accident?
No,
Your Plan chisels all,
"Life" is the marble.

My will
Is in the decision,
Your Will
Is in the outcome.

Father,

Open Your Home, Heaven,
Unlock the Sky-Vault, and
Send forth Jesus-Grace into my soul
To turn all -- thoughts, words, deeds --
Over to You.......Surrender.

About the Poet
I am 79 years of age. For the past nine years I have been retired, after forty years, from the field of alcoholism and drug abuse in New York City. I am married and we have two grown sons and two grand-sons. My life changed through a grace-experience in 1967. Writing Christian prayers is a particular interest of mine. This came about by a growing awareness of the spiritual in recovery from addictions. I choose, intellectually and emotionally, to believe the Triune God of the Sared Scriptures as my Healer.
