Fix Your Eyes

"... keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the Leader and Perfector
Of faith ...." Hebrews 12:2

Father,

Paul is clear:
Fix Your eyes on Jesus, and
Look away from the world's weeds,
Strip off the mantle of pride,
It's biulk and bondage; and,

Fasten yourself,
Attach yourself,
To Jesus.

Jesus --
Our Leader
Who pilots us up the slippery slopes;
Our Captain
Who fires our blood;
Our Watchman
Who daily opens salvation's door.

Jesus --
The Hand
Who clasps our race-tired souls;
The Rock
Who grounds our journey;
The Clay-Divine
Who models our sculpt.

Jesus --
The Tomb-less One
Who never danced with death;
The Light
Who makes Truth visible;
The Sword-Warrior
Who commands our war with the Dark.

Jesus --
The Rainbow, the Curve-in-the-Sky,
The Bridge to Your Kingdom, Father, and
Our native home,
Where Jesus, Your Son,
Sits at the Right of THE Throne.
