God-Speak "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword....'Hebrews 4:12 Father, As an anchor, I will sink into Your Word, Fathom deep into "God-Speak," and Be loosened from the sand's shore. And there, find Words Breathing and pulsing Words, Words more like torches, Stars pointing home -- The gift of life-sight; Words Heating my soul, Words with steam, Vigor Word, push Words, Driving away the demons From their watch; Words Slicing through the fat Of doubt and defense To my soul's heart, To my core marrow, and there Open, open, open. Father, Let my heart hold these Words, Let my tongue speak these Words, Let my feet walk these Words. Thank You. |

About the Poet
I am 79 years of age. For the past nine years I have been retired, after forty years, from the field of alcoholism and drug abuse in New York City.
I am married and we have two grown sons
and two grand-sons.
My life changed through a grace-experience in 1967.
Writing Christian prayers is a particular interest of mine. This came about by a growing awareness of the
spiritual in recovery from addictions.
I choose, intellectually and emotionally, to believe the Triune God of the Sared Scriptures as my Healer.
